SUMMARY OF ROLE
We are a growing HR team at a growing agency, and we are looking for someone who is a critical and strategic thinker. If you are creative and show initiative, and if you want to grow in your career with an innovative HR team, we’d love to meet you! This role will provide Human Resources services; identify and clarify performance problems; coach and counsel managers and employees; and complete special projects. There will be some opportunities to help build new HR programs. We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading projects and trying new ideas.
Important in this role is to have a solid understanding of organizational policy, data integrity, and recordkeeping best practices, as well as software skills. A candidate should be an effective communicator and have strong relational skills, as well as an ability to independently organize and plan their work.

From Memorial Day – Labor Day, Housing Catalyst operates on a summer schedule. Full-time employees receive their regular pay (40 hours per week), but are only required to work 36 hours per week.
EXAMPLE OF JOB DUTIES
Manage human resources services including talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee customer service and retention. Comply with Equal Employment Opportunity, complete personnel transactions.
Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
Work with managers and employees to identify and clarify problems; evaluate potential solutions; implement selected solutions; counsel as necessary and appropriate.
Complete special human resources projects. Clarify project objectives; set timetables and schedules; conduct research; develop and organize information; communicate project status and issues; resolve concerns; analyze time and cost issues; prepare reports.
Update and trouble-shoot HRIS, assist employees/management with demographic changes, wage rates, transfers, promotions, supervisory reports of performance evaluation, and other trackable employment activity.
Maintain updated job description site in HRIS and file management system.
Process and maintain employee information on HRIS. Prepare audits and reports, statistical summaries on employee skills, payroll information, and other information as needed.
Ensure records management of employee data is updated and in compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
Support the recruitment process.
Act as member of payroll team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post high school training, college, or university graduate. Human Resources progressive office work.
Knowledge of HR software, the technical company leaves and records management policy procedures and regulations, methods to ensure data integrity and records, documentation, and processing tracking tools, recordkeeping for human resources, workers’ compensation, ADA, FAMLI, FMLA, benefit administration and I-9’s.
Ability to understand a variety of rules, laws, and regulatory personnel and payroll information, utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, and payroll and HRIS software, communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work, including customers, co-workers, and the public, organize and plan work, manage time in a deadline-driven workplace.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
Our work at Housing Catalyst is all about community. Therefore, we consider it critical that our team members are part of the community we serve. For that reason, we require that the incumbent be a resident or Larimer or Weld County. In cases where candidates are not currently residing in this area, we accommodate up to a six month timeframe for relocation. Limited exceptions may be made under extenuating circumstances.
