Howard Gartman CPA, PA has been in business serving the Moore County region and beyond for over 25 years. We are seeking an individual to join our team as an experienced Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant.

 

We provide accounting services for our local small businesses from start-up to tax preparation. We have a friendly warm office environment with incentives and opportunities for growth.

Job Summary of Responsibilities:

 

Record Journals

Post General Edger

Reconcile Bank Statements

Post Earnings Records

Compile Financial Statements

Preparation of Sales Tax Reports

Year-End Preparation of 1099 Reporting Compliance

Pension Assistance

Assist the clients with Workman’s Compensation Audits

 

Required Experience:

 

Degree in Accounting or Business (preferred)

Knowledge of Accounting CS and QuickBooks Online a plus

Strong working knowledge of Financial Statements and Accounting Systems

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational and communication skills

Detail-oriented and able to prioritize to meet deadlines

Able to work independently and as part of a team
