The Regional Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting needs of the Company and the Executive Directors for the communities assigned. Utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures this includes applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information in order to properly book transactions and prepare monthly financial statements with a variance analysis, identifying trends, assisting with budgeting and audits, preparing schedules and analyses, investor reporting, sales and other tax returns, and partnering with the Executive Directors, Controller, CFO and other executives and managers in answering their questions, to help improve results and calling significant matters to their attention.
