Primary Responsibilities Include:
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees
Partners with HR Director to improve processes and find creative solutions
Shares expertise on HR Systems
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
Conducts or assists with new hire orientation
Runs Human Resources reports as needed
Tracks extended leave of absence requests and administers FML/Disability cases
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, and other culture-improvement activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
At least one year of experience in similar role
Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices
Experience with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information systems (HRIS)
