We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Employee Benefits team in our Rockville, MD office.
The selected individual will be Responsible for overall marketing support to the Employee Benefits Major Accounts Team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and accountable team player with strong communication, problem solving, client-service, design, and storytelling skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Format, proofread, and distribute content for email and digital marketing campaigns.
Design and produce print and digital marketing collateral, ads, social media graphics, presentations, client communications, and other materials.
Maintain graphic standards, company information, materials, and associated marketing databases.
Develop graphs/charts, infographics, and other content for internal, external, and client communications.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly department meetings.
Coordinate strategic/planning meetings, photography, and other marketing activities.
Assist with tradeshow design and preparation.
Support in-person and virtual events.
Assist Team with coordinating the assembly and production of proposals and presentations, as needed.
Support Employee Benefits Major Accounts Team with additional tasks, as needed.
Contribute to enhancement of client services/sales, be well informed and maintain a familiarity with industry trends.
Other responsibilities/duties as assigned or requested by Management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Advertising, Communications, Business, Marketing or related field and/or 4 years’ work experience
Solid digital portfolio of impeccable written and design work
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
Proficiency in Adobe create suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, PowerBI, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Writing, editing, and proofreading skills and attention to detail
Ability to think creatively
Understanding of principles of graphic and visual design, information layout and printing specifications and best practices across all print, digital and mobile channels
Organized and able to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Experience with professional services and/or creative agency preferred.
Experience with CRM tools, online analytics, and Google AdWords preferred.
