Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between managers and employees by developing solutions and executing plans that optimize employee performance and organizational success, morale, increased productivity, and retention. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with respective business units.
Provide performance management support and guidance to managers on coaching and complex employee relations issues. Conduct thorough and objective investigations ensuring disciplinary actions are consistent, fair, and mitigate Credit Union risk for liability.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees and ensures regulatory compliance. Counsel and educate leadership about pertinent employment laws and how they impact the Credit Union’s policies
Responsible for the evaluation, development, modification and implementation of Human Resources policies and employee guidelines.
Collaborate with other members of the HR Team to implementing an HR strategy/initiative or representing the business unit’s objective and expectations. Strive to remove obstacles and gain consensus on delivery.
Collaborate on and deploy programs to improve/sustain employee engagement, employee retention and turnover reduction. Analyze trends and metrics from multiple sources (includes but not limited to turnover, exit interviews, corrective action, engagement survey) in partnership with the HR leadership group to determine possible areas of improvement. Sponsor employee lead committees/events.
Responsible for deadline adherence and the reporting of data to state and federal regulatory agencies including but not limited to OSHA, DOL, EEOC and OFCCP. Assess results when appropriate and remedies any deficits or noncompliance.
Manage all aspects of the unemployment process, including representation of the Credit Union in hearings pertaining to unemployment.
Assist the Chief People Officer in regulatory agency investigations. Responsible for the credibility, currency and accuracy of personnel files and required documents including, but not limited to, those required by state and/or federal statute and internal policy.
Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience required
PHR/SPHR certification required
Valid Driver’s license required
Minimum 8 Years Human Resource Generalist resolving complex employee issues experience required
Minimum 3 Years Management experience required
