Private equity firm Cohere Capital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the commercial marketing group of ICF Next, ICF’s marketing, communications and digital transformation agency. As a Senior Director of Human Resources, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of talent management strategy and overall practices. You will partner across the group working with the executive team to put in place talent management initiatives that enable strategic business objectives. In your role as a strategic business partner, you will advise and coach leaders in all elements of talent management, including identifying current and future human capital needs, issues, priorities, and leading the execution of the appropriate actions to help the business achieve near term and longer-term objectives. This position reports into the Group leader, and you will manage an HR team of two.
This senior role will be located in Minneapolis, MN and will require travel up to 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business leaders to drive results, including organizational effectiveness and performance management, facilitate effective change efforts and enable employee engagement
Partner with the business to establish and implement sound HR practices and implement effective human capital strategies.
Responsible for all HR functional areas such as talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and immigration
Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion is core to all HR practices
Help transform business strategies and objectives into performance goals; help to cascade those goals through the line organization. Lead the utilization of best practices in performance management/accountability, and consult and advocate for the most impactful application of rewards and consequences. Work with managers to enable them to develop their employees and advance their careers.
Analyze human capital trends internally and externally, and associated impact within the business. Recommend strategies and initiatives based on the trends.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal/regulatory federal and state requirements and ensure fair and consistent daily management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance for employees.
Understand, integrate and provide counsel to the business on HR priorities; ensure HR programs are effectively communicated, implemented and evaluate utilization of programs
Promote core values through HR programs and practices, model personal integrity, drive the importance of ethics and compliance throughout the business, and address related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
8+ years of demonstrated success in partnering with managers on talent management, addressing organizational and employee development issues, and resolving complex employee relations issues.
Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and disciplines, including talent management, performance management, employee/career development and general support in a broad-based HR generalist role.
Solid experience in program and policy creation, HR project management, implementation and training delivery.
Proven ability as an effective team member on virtual teams and ability to successfully support, coach, and influence remote clients.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Skills/Experience:
PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP or SCP certification.
Skilled at executive interaction
Demonstrated success at being a trusted and effective member of a senior leadership teamand ability to lead through influencing
Proven HR leadership in a creative environment
Facilitation of leadership and employee development programs

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$150,854.00 – $256,451.00
