Servers
Job Description: A good server can make or break the customer experience. Responsible for taking orders in a friendly manner, reporting orders to the kitchen, and calculating the bill, servers play an essential role in any casual or fine dining restaurant. Previous work experience with fine dining preferred.
Job Requirements:
-Consistently exceed guest expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt, and attentive service that is tailored to their preferences.
-Full and complete knowledge of all our menus and products.
-Wine and spirit knowledge.
-Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
· Previous work experience within an upscale / fine dining high volume establishment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
· Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.
Education and/or Experience:
· 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred.
· Basic knowledge of fine dining and good knowledge of wines/beverages.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Positive customer service-oriented attitude.
· Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.
· Knowledge of full-service restaurant operations and terminology.
· Knowledge of POS operating systems.
· Promptness and efficiency with your actions.
· Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
· Ability to work with other staff members.
· Ability to undertake and multi-task efficiently.
· Attention to detail.
· Must provide food handler card within 30 days of hiring.
· Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
· Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
· Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
· Shifts vary – Required to work any shift needed (as scheduled or determined by management)
· Ability to work regular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Experience with OpenTable, Toast, or similar POS/reservation system preferred
COVID-19 precautions
· Personal protective equipment provided or required
· Temperature screenings
· Social distancing guidelines in place
· Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
CDC guidelines for operations will be observed in the best safety practices in the interest of all guests and staff.
