Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona. IAS supplies and transports a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for our plan in Blackfoot, ID.

Position Responsibilities:

Reports to Fleet Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for calling customers, dispatching trucks, data entry into our systems.

• Communicating with shop to setup trailer repairs.
• Answering phones
• Great organization, planning and communication skills.
• Works closely with shop to set up repairs and routine maintenance on trailers.
• Basic knowledge of trucking laws (ELD’s) not a must. Will train.
• Truck Dispatch
• Learn dry out procedures
• Some after hours and weekend work will be required.
• Needs to be ok with working outdoors at times.
• Good housekeeping skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and be able to perform job duties within 60 days of hire.
• Learn loading racks at the different plants.

Position Requirements:

To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience Dispatching and customer service. We are willing to train candidates who are eager to launch a career with Idaho Asphalt Supply
• Computer proficiency and with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• The ability to perform basic arithmetic operations accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages)
• Communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient telephone communication skills
• Be able to work out in the weather during all times of the year
• Be able to walk on, or work on an open grated cat walk 50 feet high
• Be able to work in enclosed or confined spaces (tanks)
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
• Local candidates preferred
