What you’ll need to have

• Minimum experience: 5 years
• Demonstrated leadership experience in food service management.
• Knowledge of certification and external food safety requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of how to lead and inspire co-workers in food presentation and knowledge.

Your responsibilities

Manages the Food Operations in the Restaurant, Bistro, and Staff Cafe to support sales and convert visitors into customers. This job is also accountable for leading by example in relation to food safety, production, quality, efficiency and range presentation.

• Manages the efficient food preparation and serving operation in the Restaurant, Bistro and Staff Café.
• Ensures efficient ordering, invoicing and inventory routines are in place.
• Ensures that a high level of food preparation and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
• Plans efficient Restaurant range changes, ensuring that all co-workers taste and learn about new products prior to their launch.
• Leads and acts in accordance with efforts to meet IKEA Sustainability Direction, ensuring that Food Operation is taking action.
• Oversees local market knowledge of the IF Competition and Local Food Range development.
• Ensures that the Food Range available at the lowest total cost by driving volume according to commercial priorities.
• Operates IKEA Food in accordance with legislation.
• Operates IKEA Food areas within the IKEA store in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Contributes to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
