Going on its 7th year Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival is a New-based women’s film festival dedicated to providing aspiring women storytellers and filmmakers with a platform to encourage and develop new creative projects. ITWIFF strives to support women by sharing their work with the public, promoting equal opportunities, encouraging professional development, and serving as a resource and information network.
We need help in the following areas:
Team Captain- Assist with managing the team. Make sure things are running smoothly and on time.
Event Crew – Set up and take down equipment and materials. Lift and transport heavy supplies to venues and events.
Theatre Operations/Box Office Team – Set up signage, greet guests, usher guests into the theater, scan tickets at the door, assist with line control inside and outside of the building, and assist patrons with questions.
Social Media Team – Social Media is vital to getting our messages out to the public. We want our guests to be up to date on festival news and events. Volunteers on this team help with promotion and communication on various social media platforms, blogs, and forums.
Photography/Videographer Team –Volunteer photographers document the festival with red carpet photos of guests, receptions, Q&As, panels, parties, events, and displays. Their photos are used on our website, in newsletters and emails to our subscribers, and on our social media. Please note, that you must have your own equipment. Videographers- you should have a camera, microphone, and lights. Photographers – you should have a camera. *Professional experience preferred*
Usher/ Guest Services Team – Volunteers are responsible to provide world-class customer service to all patrons at the festival. This includes greeting, directing, and answering any questions they might have. Straighten and tidy up the area after each event
Events Team – The Events Team is a team of organizers and planners. Volunteers assist the event management director with day-to-day planning for festival parties and special events. During the Festival, this team ensures the success of each party and event by working with venue staff, vendors, and our logistics team.
Events Logistics Team -The Events Logistics Team keeps track of all festival property and materials. Volunteers make sure materials get to the appropriate venues on time, manage inventory, and maintain the warehouse. This team manages set-up and tear-down at each venue and event location.
Volunteer Requirements:
Be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Ability to work well with others
Great communication and flexibility
Love for independent film/ film festivals
