Ø Report to work 30 minutes prior to start of shift and communication with the incoming and
supervisor regarding issues from their shift.
Ø Monitor daily shift activities
Ø Conduct a shift start up meeting to discuss the following:
Manage by walking around to ensure that all 5s standards are being followed:
Communicate with Material Analyst and other office staff regarding NNAC issues:
missing parts, hot calls, downtime issues, untagged material in “Scrap Area”
Ø Complete end of shift report and email to the staff on a daily basis.
Ø Ensure that aisle audits are completed on a per shift basis.
Ø Continually watch warehouse maintenance throughout the shift. Schedule the
proper amount of personnel to complete the required work for the day.
Ø Coordinate time off work requests for associates to manage staffing needs
Ø Complete forklift damage reports when needed.
Ø Maintain write-ups and disciplinary action when needed.
Ø Meet the productivity goals for the shift on a daily basis.
Ø Communicate with management regarding issues that involve the plant:
Ø Maintain an ongoing presence on the floor for the majority of the shift coordinating
and providing direction to ensure that the shift runs efficiently and that all shift
goals are met.
Ø Counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
Ø Develops Group Leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of associates.
Ø Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Ø Confer with manager to coordinate operations and activities within department.
Ø Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of associates through job observation
Ø Monitors productivity and explain work orders.
Ø Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Ø Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformances to policies and procedures throughout the work process and at completion.
Ø Confer with management and workers to resolve problems, complaints or grievances.
Ø Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
Ø Maintain harmony among associates and resolve grievances.
Ø Keep records of employees’ attendance and hours worked.
EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
Ø Minimum of high school diploma and related manufactory experience
Ø Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language, written and verbal
Ø Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
Ø Ability to interpret instructions, oral and written.
Ø Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, planning processes and safety
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ø Supervises non-supervisory associates within department
Qualifications
Ø Strong problem solving skills and math skills
Ø Knowledge of mainframe, Microsoft Office and applications
Ø Knowledge of touch screen monitors
Ø Must have willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and directions
Ø Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, honest and ethical
Ø Work well with others with a pleasant, good cooperative attitude
Ø Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the distribution of goods
Ø Able to remain calm under stressful situations
Ø Must know how to perform all jobs within the area
