General Responsibilities
Monitors and stays abreast of applicable laws and regulations that potentially impact our multi-state Store and/or Support Associates.
Provides input in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate policies, and procedures to ensure compliance of company, federal, state, or local regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
Oversees and organizes the implementation of any policy or procedure changes with HRIS or IT team. Creates communication and training materials for new federal, state or local laws or ordinances including new system changes.
Updates the Store Support handbook. Communicates final changes to relevant parties including HR dept. Works with IT to set up Acknowledgement Notification process.
Participates in reviews, audits and questions working in conjunction with our HR Services Manager.
Contributes in the development, review and administration of any compliance training (AB 1825, SB 1343, Mandated Reporter, etc.). Partners with the Arrow team on implementing and testing of any new modules as well as overseeing the set up and notification process.
Provides first response to Background inquiries, including Fair Chance assessments and compliance requirements.
Answers incoming calls or emails, providing assistance and responding to inquiries regarding general policies, procedures or practices.
Generates, compile and organize data, information and resources for various projects and reports for Legal and the HR Department.
Assists all other department members when needed to accomplish critical projects or meet tight deadlines.
Participates as a member of various teams as needed.

Full-time, Exempt
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Department needs may call for occasional overtime

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
One to two years HR experience, or in investigations, audit, regulatory, risk or compliance environment preferred.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner, proactively identifying issues and being solution-oriented
Ability to take initiative to lead projects and follow-up on outstanding items
Strong organizational and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and problem solving ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills and capable of communicating regarding project progress
High degree of discretion and ability to safeguard confidential information
Strong sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed values and ethical principles of In-N-Out Burger
Technical aptitude with Microsoft Excel, including Excel formulas (e.g., vlookups, Pivot tables) and Microsoft Word
