Job Description:
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for the execution related to enterprise level projects to accelerate a move to the cloud. The primary focus will include working alongside the Sr. Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities related to project execution. This includes but is not limited to efforts that entail application and platform laydowns, as well as other efforts that are more central to modernizing the existing application portfolio to be cloud compatible.
Your responsibilities may include:
Helping to socialize both within IT and the business the scope and objective of the project.
Facilitation of daily scrum and/or stand-up sessions with the project team.
Oversight of the day-to-day execution of the project scope and deliverables.
Communication to customers and colleagues a moderate to advanced knowledge of enterprise level cloud platforms (i.e., Azure and AWS)
Providing weekly status reports on progress, issues, and risks.
Facilitation of voice of the customer sessions to gain alignment related to the project objectives.
Lead cross-functional teams through full program lifecycles by defining scope/success criteria, setting expectations, establishing timelines, implementing solutions, and measuring success and lessons learned.
Assist in the implementation and management of program procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve goals with defined success criteria.
Leading Agile project management methodologies for project and program delivery inclusive of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings.
Identify project risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations.
Coordinating vendor discussions/engagements and formalized strategic alignment engagements
Engaging with peer project managers managers to identify dependencies and synergies between portfolio and projects.
Executing in high demanding, fast paced environments with tight deadlines. Drafting deliverable documentation to meet client project needs.
Encouraging new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions.
Skillset / Experience:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related technical discipline or foreign equivalent
PMP certification(s).
3+ years experience in cloud migration or application modernization projects
10+ years of project management experience
15+ years of IT experience
Preferred:
5-10 years of of application and data migration experience.
Basic level of Oil and Gas Industry experience/knowledge.
