Job Summary: The Whole Health Specialist provides services to culturally diverse adults and children. While the position primary operates remote, some services may be provided face to face. Adults may be diagnosed with severe mental illness (SMI) and may also have co-occurring substance use disorders, and/or chronic health conditions. Similarly, children may be experiencing various mental and physical health challenges.
This position operates in a dynamic environment utilizing a recovery based and trauma-informed perspective. In addition, this position develops extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and cultivates a clinical skill set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members.
The Whole Health Specialist may participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s) at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services. They work in partnership with individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes and skills.
This position works with individuals in developing skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain/maintain services such as medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, housing or other resources. In addition, this position may facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training sessions and/or utilize other evidenced-based interventions or therapeutic modalities.
Although staff members in this position are not typically licensed mental health professionals, staff members in this position work under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of assessments and treatment.

Salary: $22.35 – $23.47 an hour based on education.
