Position Summary
Assists the Director of HR with maintaining sound HR policies and practices, compliant with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Manages the HRIS software by entering and maintaining accurate employee information, utilizing available functions and creating training materials for leadership. Incumbents will be analytical, detail oriented and knowledgeable about employment law and regulation.

- Represents Integrity and the HR department in a professional and courteous manner at all times;
- Manages data entry of new and current employee information into human resources information system (HRIS) and scheduling software for all offices and positions;
- Manages data entry of all required employee documents into HRIS software, including training and evaluation documentation;
- Ensures each new employee has accurate required credentials and degrees for all certifications and/or licensures and that all credentials and degrees are precisely tracked in the HRIS software;
- Routinely runs reports to maintain accurate employee records in personnel files and HRIS software;
- Manages processing of employee transfers and terminations within HRIS and scheduling software upon receipt of required documentation;
- Assists the Director of HR in managing the HRIS software to fully utilize its functionality and ensure all functions are working properly;
- Assists the Director of HR in understanding and administering employment practices throughout the company by creating and updating personnel policies, protocols and forms;
- Ensures updated HR policies, protocols, forms and job descriptions are available to leadership employees on the Intranet;
- Assists the Director of HR with development of sound personnel policies and procedures; including maintenance of the employee handbook;
- Creates and maintains accurate job descriptions for all positions throughout the company by routinely assessing each position for changes in required skills or primary tasks and assures all job descriptions have been approved by appropriate stakeholders;
- Conducts internal audits of personnel information to ensure compliance with DOL, DHSS, OFCCP, EEOC and other regulatory agencies;
- Oversees compliance of personnel and medical files with DOL, DHSS and other regulatory agencies;
- Maintains active/term leadership personnel files in accordance with DOL and DHSS record keeping standards as instructed by the Director of HR;
- Coordinates inquiries and requests for employment information;
- Assists in establishing and maintaining HIPAA compliance with respect to employee’s protected health information in conjunction with HIPAA officer;
- Assists Director of HR in completing annual reporting requirements including but not limited to Vet 4212, Affirmative Action Plans and EEO-1;
- Complies with Compliance Plan;
- Complies with HIPAA Policies. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to the patient and family. Will discuss only those aspects necessary to the care and treatment of patient and family with those directly involved in the patient’s care;
- As business needs may change, may perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor that are reasonably related to the position.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred;
- Understanding of employment law including, but not limited to, EEOC regulations, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, PDA, OSHA, MHRA and FMLA required.
Experience:
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in HR required without degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required;
- Previous experience providing functional support including HR duties required;
- SHRM – Certified Professional or SHRM – Senior Certified Professional certification preferred.
