The Substrate Backend Equipment Supply Chain will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Managing equipment/material performance metrics.
Being accountable for delivering/managing a fleet of capital equipment and corresponding supplier.
Cross technical and commercial domains with a Supplier Quality and Performance focus.
Owning and driving the technical working group that defines the priorities for the suppliers.
Collaborating with Substrate Packaging Technology Development (SPTD) engineers to create and maintain relevant specifications and mutual expectation documents to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements.
Working with suppliers to define requirements and holds suppliers accountable for their manufacturing process flow to meet quality reliability, cost yield, and manufacturability requirements.
Driving continuous process and quality improvements.
Managing new tool purchases to support next-generation processes along with driving the lower cost of ownership for Intel with the supplier.
Ownership in working with internal stakeholders suppliers and technical engineers in developing short and long-term strategies.
Partnering with Finance to develop Return on Investment (ROI) models review should cost models and negotiate with the supplier to ensure Intel is getting a competitive deal.
Owning writing and revising equipment-specific contracts.
Working with internal owners to better understand the technical roadmap and future capacity needs which may impact equipment forecast and purchases. Owner in developing alternatives if purchasing new equipment is not a viable option.
Being the Point of Contact for the supplier to approach and work on specific equipment cost reduction, projects, and initiatives short and long-term strategies.
Partnering with other members of the Intel account team to develop and align the strategy for supplier management to drive the supplier to provide world-class services.
Partnering with other members of the Intel account team to establish and manage the business process with the supplier on equipment forecast and deliveries.
Engaging ‘hands-on’ on SPTD factory floor with module engineers and suppliers to and interacting with material equipment suppliers.
**Results will be demonstrated by ramping equipment capability into factories and by improving equipment performance and maintainability / ** Travel will be required for supplier site training and equipment buy-off (approximately 10 percentage).

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience required for each degree in the expertise areas specified below:
1- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science or related field of study with 8+ years of relevant experience.
2- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science or related field of study with 6+ years of relevant experience.
3- Ph.D. in Engineering or Science or related field of study with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Expertise Areas:
Model-Based Problem Solving, Statistical Analysis, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Structured problem solving and tools to generate alternative solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
6+ years of experience in technology and manufacturing is highly desirable for this position.
