Property Manager and Accountant
Job Description
Handles the financial aspects of private and commercial real estate sales, rentals and purchases. Manages the company and client accounts and portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and ensure the accuracy of all ledgers, accounts, portfolios and balance sheets.
* Handling taxes, budgeting, payroll and general monthly expenses.
* Reconciling all balance sheet and income statements.
* Collaborate with revenue accounting and account receivables team to maintain knowledge of all transactions and participate in various acquisitions processes.
* Listing properties, organize inspections for potential tenants, prepare tenancy agreements, negotiate rental income.
* Conduct inspections of properties, liaise with tradespeople to organize maintenance and repairs as required.
* Address owner and tenant concerns, liaise with owners about difficult tenants and deliver termination notices, and prepare and handle contracts pertaining to the property.
* Managing 30+ properties within Utah and other states.
* Provide support to all documents and interpret all complex documents for loans and agreements and ensure compliance to all client requirements and provide support to asset management.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED certificate
* Bachelor’s degree in field preferred
* Accounting certification, CPA or CMA
* Minimum of two years experience of professional accounting and/or property management in the real estate industry
* Essential for computer skills with in depth knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks and Yardi
* Strong interpersonal communication skills in supporting management and property owners
* Organization and attention to detail
