The Human Resources Coordinator is an integral role supporting the HR function at Interstate Companies and contributes to the overall success of the team by providing a high level of customer service, administrative support, and project coordination.
The ideal candidate will manage administrative tasks around employee relations, to include but not limited to leave of absence process, unemployment claims, onboarding assistance, personnel file management and others.
Role Responsibilities:
Administers employee engagement survey and manages the employee engagement process year-round, assisting managers in action planning and improvement plans
Administers the performance management process, including assisting training of new managers, compliance review and assistance
Manage company-wide processing of terminations and unemployment claims management
Process all leaves of absences to include family medical leave, military leave and personal leave
Conduct exit interview and stay interviews
Support payroll in collecting data for personal mileage of company owned vehicles
Work closely with the Employee Relations Manager on workers’ compensation claims management
Manage the employee official personnel files
Support onboarding process to include MVR scorecards and backing up our onboarding coordinator
Maintain and exercise strict confidentiality and complete discretion with sensitive information and situations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of family medical leave act and other department of labor regulations preferred
Solid experience in Microsoft Office Suite of products, to include Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to hold confidentiality in all aspects of position
