Summary
Interwireless Consultants is currently seeking an experienced construction manager (Telecoms) to join our team. The individual will oversee the construction of new 5G site builds, including both Radio and Transmission components, Site upgrades and other general maintenance tasks by supervising multiple tower crews to ensure timely completion of each project.
The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must possess strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working in high pressure situations. The candidate will be interacting with clients and co-workers daily and must be able to provide timely and detailed updates
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and organize activities related to the construction, installation and maintenance of Cell Site structures including but not limited to Radio and Transmission components
· Plan and schedule project resources in an effective manner within budget in order to meet defined scope of work and deliverable timelines
· Liaise with Project Manager, team leads, client SPOC, contractors to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or installation issues
· Prepare and submit budget estimates, daily progress reports or cost tracking reports
· Track and ensure that all scoped work is within budget plus all change requests are captured and pre-approved by customer.
· Effectively manage all site related issues as a result of delays, bad weather or emergencies at the construction site
· Manage and supervise installation teams to ensure appropriate construction methods are utilized to meet contractual scope
· Conduct periodic reviews of approved vendor safety documentation to ensure continued compliance.
· Implement and oversee company OHSA 10/30 programs by ensuring vendor and employee safety compliance:
· Manage and maintain project requisition supplies or material to complete installation projects
· Train and assist crews in completing tasks on time
· Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with health & safety environment regulations
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
· Ability to meet physical demands of the job
· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
· Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel, sit for extended periods of time
· Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several days and months at a time (75%)
· May be required to work extended hours
· Must possess valid driver’s license required to drive company vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications
· 4-6 years’ experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Tower industry with the capacity to understand and manage multiple projects and multiple customers
· Advanced knowledge of construction management processes and methods
· Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality standards
· Detailed end to end experience of all areas of deploying new sites installations
· Familiarity with project management software package
· Ability to build and maintain client relationships driven by the “Big Picture”
· Strong Leadership with competency across conflict and crisis management
· Ability to use Office suite,i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
· RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, & Competent Climber certifications
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
· This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements; weekends as needed.
· Travel is required for this position; usually between 50 to 90% of the time.
Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor of Science degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred, but not required. Minimum of H.S. Diploma is required.
· Six years’ experience in tower construction management preferred
