Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for weekly work order closure process and analysis of all manufacturing variances for three plants. Responsible for monthend close procedures and journal entries. Review and maintain standard costs. Review engineering change orders. Provide support for quarterly financial SOX audits. Assist with annual standard cost roll and budget preparation.
Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing plant results which includes but is not limited to; inventory valuation, variance analysis, manufacturing performance metrics, data integrity investigation and resolution, operational cost/expense analysis, GL to Perpetual reconciliations, Obsolescence and Inventory Turns reporting. Identify, analyze and research issues, which may require collaboration with all levels of manufacturing to understand and prepare the monthly and quarterly results. May be responsible for presenting the results to management. Supports internal customer requests for ad hoc reports. Responsibilities are performed in conformance with corporate policy standards and internal controls. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Four (4) year degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of two (2) year’s work experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Experience and understanding of manufacturing variances and standard cost components is required. Strong analytical skills, self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to communicate issues and find solutions working with all levels of operations. Able to persevere through challenges.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software, spreadsheet software and word processing software; JDE (E1) experience preferred.
