Job Description: (Brief Summary/Statement)
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing a blend of Talent Management and Human Resources related duties. The HR blended role includes the following functional areas: benefits plan administration, company policy direction and employment law compliance. This position will perform as lead teammate for employee benefit programs, to include health and welfare plans, fitness and well-being programs, and leave policies as well as primary representative with internal employee social media content, employee announcements, moral programs, awards and presentations. Secondary HR duties include employee relations, professional development and onboarding support. The Talent Management (TM) role includes the following: Lend support for requisition and pre-offer letter coordination, offer letter preparation, and managing candidate to employee records.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Human Resources & Records Management:
Support New Hire Orientation, Onboarding process; Employee Relations needs
Conduct new hire orientation and on-boarding paperwork.
Maintaining HRIS records and assemble reports from the database.
Manage 90-Day check in and follow up with Hiring Managers.
Assist with Employee handbook updates when needed.
Assist with affirmative action program; EEO-1 reporting; VETS-4212 and other compliance needs.
Lend support with issuing change letters and rewards memos.
Manage rewards, bonus and morale programs.
Manage Birthday and Anniversary Cards program
Employee bereavement, holiday, floral program
Manage and update Resume Library.
Manage reporting and follow up on Ethics & Respect Training
Manage VOE and OPM Investigator requests; Manage VEC and other State Claims
Manage Employee Referral Thank yous and payment notifications
Track and process Weekly HR Changes & Biweekly Payroll Changes
Maintain POC Lists including SharePoint Company Director and Programs Page Information
Maintain Weblinks and employee portals access (Taleo, Ease, etc)
Maintaining company organization charts and company locations lists.
Coordinating with payroll for new hire, change and exiting employee paperwork.
Managing internal employee social media announcements, moral programs, awards and presentations.
Talent Management:
Support Job Requisition process
Review/Post Job Requisitions on job boards such as Indeed, Monster, Clearance Jobs, State job boards, etc.
Lend support with phone screens, clearance validation, interview scheduling and assessment evaluations.
Support pre-offer letter process including phone screens, PTO verification, meets qualifications vs contract requirements, technical interviewed, rate compliance, reference checks, clearance re-verification, customer approval and final PM approval for offer extension. Candidate scorecard
Assist in offer-letter process including draft offer, compiling and verifying vetting grid, and new hire alerts
Manage candidate records through Taleo (ATS).
Produce routine reporting requirement within Taleo ATS
Benefits Management
Support HR Generalist with Benefits Administration
Support cradle to grave benefits, to include new enrollments, open enrollments, claims resolution, benefit changes, vendor invoices, and communicating benefits information.
Keeping employee benefits records up to date and informing employees of any changes to their benefits.
Fielding phone call and email inquiries for employee benefit questions and needs
Answering questions or concerns from employees about their benefits.
Education/Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5-8 years’ HR generalist experience.
Professional HR certification(s) preferred.
General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
Knowledgeable about employee benefits and the various laws and regulations which apply to them.
Experience in the administration of benefits and other Human Resource programs.
Excellent computer MS Office Suite skills in a Microsoft Windows environment especially Excel
Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must have can do attitude and be a team player.
Clearance: ABILITY TO OBTAIN DoD CLEARANCE
