Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex business and personal income tax returns, including multi-state tax returns

• Prepare sales tax returns and payroll tax returns

• Register new and existing businesses with state and local jurisdictions for income tax, sales tax and payroll tax purposes

• Conduct tax research (federal, state, local) to determine filing requirements for new and existing businesses

• Calculate/prepare quarterly estimated tax projections for businesses and individuals and communicate results with clients during quarterly or monthly client meetings

• Assist with tax planning and implementation projects

• Resolve tax issues (IRS, state, local) including setting up installment agreements and addressing various tax notices

• Prepare documentation for workers’ compensation audits

• Deliver a full range of other tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe

• Manage multiple client engagements to ensure exceptional client service while meeting both internal and external deadlines, including conducting periodic meetings with clients to discuss tax returns, estimated taxes, financial reports, etc.

Requirements:

• 7-15 years of tax experience preparing business and personal tax returns

• EA or CPA license is a must

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is a must

• Prior work experience in a CPA office is a must

• Knowledge of UltraTax CS is a plus

• Extremely comfortable with technology and virtual workspace

• Quick learner, quick thinker, problem-solver, self-starter, extremely organized

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical skills

• In-depth knowledge of the tax code for individuals and small business
