We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who are looking to gain valuable experience in the field of bookkeeping and want to work part-time to balance their personal and professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions in using QuickBooks, ensuring that all information is entered correctly and consistently.
• Accounts Receivable: Assist in managing accounts receivable by preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances if needed.
• Accounts Payable: Help process invoices, maintain vendor records, and ensure that bills are paid on time.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain the accuracy of financial records.
• Expense Tracking: Keep track of business expenses, categorize them appropriately, and prepare expense reports.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in generating financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, to support decision-making.
• Data Organization: Maintain organized and well-documented financial.
• Support to Accountant/Finance Team: Collaborate with the finance team on ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
• Experience: Prior professional bookkeeping experience is necessary. A strong willingness to learn and an aptitude for working with numbers is essential.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is necessary.
• Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical in this role.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and vendors.
• Integrity: A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of financial information.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position, with flexible working hours. The schedule can be discussed and adjusted based on the candidate’s availability.
