Human Resources Manager
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join us in our McLean, VA headquarters! The HR Manager will be a seasoned HR professional that manages the HR team and works collaboratively with the iTalk family of companies to ensure a fair and consistent approach of HR support that is aligned with company goals. He/she will oversee and provide hands-on support to the administration of HR functions, including but not limited to HR policies, benefits administration, payroll, talent acquisition, and performance management. providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HR Manager reports directly to the CEO.
Major Responsibilities:
· Translate strategic business plans into HR actions, programs, and initiatives.
· Be a trusted advisor and thoughtful business partner to the senior leadership, managers, functioning as the expert on people and organizational issues.
· Review, develop and manage all company benefit programs and handle reporting and disclosure requirements. Managing COBRA administration, FMLA, and other leave of absences and related.
· Oversee payroll administration. Review and submit payroll. Resolve any payroll tax-related issues with our HRIS vendor.
· Manages the development and implementation of new policies and procedures related to new federal, state, and local employment laws in partnership with the Legal department.
· Support management by providing HR advice, counsel, and decisions as related to employee relation issues, as needed.
· In charge of annual labor cost budget planning and labor forecasting process with Senior leadership, department heads. Control and monitor labor cost accurately and thoroughly.
· Manages all immigration matters including initial visa applications (PERM, H-1B, OPT) visa renewals, and RFEs. Partners with outside counsel on immigration cases ensuring successful petitions as well as legal compliance.
· Leads the HR team in the assessment, design and recommendation of HR policies and practices to management.
· All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related major required.
· 5+ years of experience in an HR role required.
· Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions in a global environment.
· Demonstrated understanding of benefits and compliance with a willingness to build and implement new policies and programs as needed.
· Strong business acumen; ability to solve both operational and strategic issues.
· Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communications skills.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
· PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications desired.
