Job Title: Software Engineer – Azure

Location: 100% Remote /New York, NY

Required Skills:

• The VDC Services and underlying Terraform modules are designed to abstract away layers of infrastructure and networking complexity
• This enables app teams to more easily transition to IaC and remain focused on their core skillsets
• An ideal candidate for leading a team s VDC adoption
• Has an application or DevOps background with an appreciation for automation Is unafraid to ask questions and seek guidance Is open to learning new technologies processes and environments
• Has an SRE mindset for increasing maintainability reliability scalability and security Can align the application to a path beyond the initial migration to continue the refactoring to adopt cloud native services Is actively keeping up with industry standards and trends in the area of DevOps and Cloud

Must have skillsets:

• Understanding of Azure cloud services including PaaS platform as a service that the application will consume Foundational
• Terraform knowledge including consumption of reusable modules and looping
• Adopting CI CD pipeline templates for infrastructure and application deployment SDLC lifecycle process Source code branching models ie GitFlow
• Basic understanding of enterprise networking and security standards
• Must recognize the larger modernization initiative and their opportunity to contribute

Nice to have skillsets:

• Advanced Terraform knowledge for code reuse merging defaults etc
• Familiarity with Terraform Enterprise or Terraform Cloud Understanding of load balancers application gateways etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• REST: 1 year (Preferred)
• Java: 1 year (Preferred)
