Responsibilities:
As a logistics accounting specialist, you will be assisting the senior accountant in accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and preparation of various accounting statements and reports.
In addition, you will:
- Accounts receivables.
- Accounts payables.
- Responsible for managing PO’s.
- Various other accounting projects as necessary.
- Daily cash entries.
- Daily A/R related cash receipts applications.
- Month end entries.
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and posting of related entries.
- Help with preparing after month end management reports.
- Pro-actively researches and resolves issues with accounts payable and general ledger.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Must have a good understanding of GAAP.
- Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Fast learner and ability to work in fast-pasted environment. • Excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot tables).
- Work collaboratively with team members and vendor contacts to follow up on vendor billing details and discrepancies completes other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
- Takes initiative to assess and improve operational efficiencies of work responsibilities.
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Must be able to handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 3 – 5 years demonstrated/related experience.
- Billing and collection experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) with an emphasis on excel.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with emphasis on the professional phone and email etiquette.
- Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- High customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with confidential data.
- Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility, and assertiveness.
- Ability to multi-task, plan/prioritize and execute in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates professionalism, critical thinking and judgment to solve problems efficiently/effectively.
- Analytical, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
