Polymers & Fluids segment is composed of highly branded products serving diverse markets that require value-added, differentiated solutions. These product offerings include adhesives, sealants, coatings, lubricants, additives, and cleaners for Transportation, Electronics, automotive aftermarket, MRO, Industrial Cleaning and Lubrication, New Energy, and Marine industry customers with unique needs. PPF East Asia is a division with regional headquarter in China and we have operations cross Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and countries in Southeast Asia.

This is a newly created position to support the long-term growth of Performance Polymers.

The HR Manager will proactively support employees and partner with management across 3 US sites to drive the execution of ITW’s Business Model and Performance Polymers Talent Strategy.

The HR Manager will be highly engaged with the local management teams, be able to initiate change, lead improvement efforts, and be knowledgeable in all areas of human resources. The role acts as an HR business partner supporting leadership development, talent management, culture, and D&I. It also covers all phases of the employee lifecycle: talent acquisition, onboarding, rewards & recognition, performance management, employee relations, and engagement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Strategy & 80/20 Objectives:

• Develop an understanding of the ITW Business Model with the ability to lead and implement meaningful change based on business unit and division strategic priorities.
• In concert with leadership, build and champion a positive work environment, grounded in ITW core values (Trust, Respect, Integrity, Shared Risk & Simplicity) and viewed as an excellent place to work.

Human Resource Management & Business Partnership:

• Work closely with the HRD, local managers & client groups, providing expert guidance, coaching, and support on all HR-related matters including talent acquisition and management, performance & compensation management, workforce planning, employee experience, employee relations, local employment law compliance, and disciplinary case support.
• Support the development and implementation of Diversity & Inclusion strategies including actively promoting and engaging with employee resource groups.

Talent Acquisition & Development:

• Work with the HR Director to further enhance the Division’s recruitment strategy, and deliver best practices in recruitment, talent selection, and onboarding for both exempt and nonexempt roles, to accelerate their integration into the ITW’s Culture and Business Model.
• Partner with management on the identification and accelerated development of “High Potential” employees.
• Identify, design, and deliver training programs that promote employee development and engagement.

HR Process:

• Monitor and update company policies and procedures ensuring full legal compliance.
• Support FMLA/Leave of Absence tracking along with the HR Generalist.
• Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years prior HR Generalist experience. Demonstrated experience in managing a range of employee relations issues preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong HR business partnership and influence capabilities. Ability to understand business strategy and its HR implication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced working environment with a high degree of flexibility.
• Experience in recruiting and onboarding, including attracting and retaining skilled labor in a manufacturing environment and professional roles.
• A solid understanding of governmental regulations and employment law; the ability to research, analyze, and interpret various data.
• Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize work and manage projects. Attention to detail is important.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Ability to travel 25% in the US.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

• Bi-lingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
• Experience with HRIS (Workday), VMS (AgileOne), and ATS (SmartRecruiters) systems is a plus.
