The Dallas Outside Sales Representative – Commercial/Contract will bring their knowledge, passion, experience, expertise, relationships, and networking abilities to the role to assist our company to build upon a business foundation that has been established by our sales partners in Dallas, with the objective of growing our company’s revenue from the territory, year on year.
You will work as part of a team of two US based outside sales representatives. The other role is appointed already and based in New York. You will be supported by the New Zealand based team and the US VP Sales will be your manager.
This role will focus on capturing commercial and contract hospitality sales specifically in Dallas and we seek a representative who is experienced in selling solutions into these key market segments. You will bring strong commercial and contract hospitality connections.
Building relationships with interior designers, architects and purchasing agents specifying and procuring for commercial projects will be in your repertoire of skills. You will have an in-depth understanding of how the design world in Dallas works, have existing relationships with key firms and knowledge and experience of the commercial and contract hospitality market segments. You will have been successful in winning large projects in your career. Your superior inter-personal communication and relationships skills will set you apart.

– A salary based on experience (US$75-$95,000) plus commission of 4-5%

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge and experience of working with interior designers, architects, specifiers and purchasing agents to deliver commercial and contract hospitality projects.
• A deep understanding of the fabric specification process as it applies in the commercial and contract hospitality market segments.
• Innovative and creative thinking to help keep ahead of competition.
• Superior inter-personal communication and relationship building skills.
• A strong track record of generating consistent sales revenue and the ability to exceed sales targets.
• Professionalism in all interactions with clients and co-workers.
• An ability to act as an ambassador for our company, with a consistent goal of exceeding our client’s expectations of our products and customer service.
• An ability to identify and develop new business opportunities through participation in networking associations like NEWH, IIDA, and ASID.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisational skills.
• US citizenship or a US Green card holder.
