Mental Health Technician
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 4 P.M. – 12 A.M.
Location: Jefferson Home
This position provides individual care instruction and supervision to three consumers in a Mental Illness Residential Program. This employee serves in the role of direct caregiver to three consumers. This employee works directly with the Home Coordinator and other staff on duty.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides direct consumer care to the consumers of the home/training facility.
Monitors, supervises, and trains consumers in daily/independent living skills.
Provides support services for the home and the consumers.
Transports consumers in accordance with their schedule.
Completes required administrative and consumer-related paperwork.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, or GED required.
Valid Alabama driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to agency automobile insurance carrier for inclusion on agency policy.
