Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance for firm management and staff regarding employee relations, issues, and/or concerns
Supervise Payroll/Payroll Coordinator in insuring bi-weekly payroll processing, open enrollments, benefit changes, salary increases, bonuses, and employee information is up to date
Conduct all non-attorney staff performance reviews
Provide guidance with regard to coaching, corrective action and performance improvement plans
Collaborate with Managing Partner and senior management with firm policies and best practices
All Federal and State reporting/compliance: ACA, EEOC, NY Disability, mandatory workplace harassment training, annual review of handbooks
Supervise Recruiting/Recruiting Coordinator with all aspects of recruiting including job ad creation, posting, partnering with agencies, interviewing, hiring and all onboarding
New Hire onboarding, order and review criminal background checks, I-9 completion
Conduct all terminations
Work with the various Depts of unemployment with claims
Experience/Requirements:
5+ years of Human Resources/Recruiting/Office Management experience required, within a mid-size law firm preferred
Experience with supervising recruiting, payroll, and knowledge of various state laws and compliance
Pro at multi-tasking, you’ll be helping manage multiple offices, so juggling multiple tasks at once
Staff management experience required
