Job Summary:

Lead sales and marketing analytics that result in actionable recommendations for competitive marketplace, business building opportunities and consumer penetration.

Sales Reporting and Analysis

• Create and analyze reports utilizing internal databases to evaluate current sales by company, product line and customers to identify business performance drivers.
• Develop sales reports and conduct analysis for all internal and external meetings including production planning, incentive reporting and customer meetings.
• Utilize and analyze Walmart Retail Link, Wakefern PPI, Publix, SEG and other customer specific portals to develop business overviews, assortment recommendations, etc.
• Engage with sales team and customers to develop sales projections for new product introductions, excess and obsolete inventory, seasonality trends and retailer promotions.
• Develop retail pricing analysis and audit template tracking Brand, Private Label and competitive performance in the marketplace
• Standardize format for freight analysis across all businesses, customers and product lines.
• Assess internal New Item Setup Forms and category coding to create improved and efficient reporting.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly sales reports with insights and recommendation on next steps.
• Work cross-functionally with other Johanna departments including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain.

Category and Market Data Analysis

• Utilize syndicated market database to create category reports and provide insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain monthly category dashboards that include detailed segmentation to drill down into formats, sizes, styles, flavors to determine trends and opportunities.
• Conduct market specific assessments of competitors, manufacturers and brands to support decisions and assist sales and marketing planning.
• Investigate new category segments to identify size, scope, competitive players and validity for future product lines and potential opportunities.
• Create dynamic PowerPoint presentations for internal meetings, buyer meetings, trade shows and business reviews.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in sales analytics, market data analysis, category management and insights.
• Possess ability to interpret data and identify business opportunities driven out of analytics and data investigation.
• Ability to gain an accurate and intuitive understanding of data to develop insights and recommendations.
• Highly motivated to with work with data and has exceptional analytical skills.
• Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office and pivot tables.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize work independently.
• Prior experience preferred in CPG with category management and analytics supporting sales and marketing department.
