We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support our team based at the Pentagon for an exciting, new and long-term energy efficiency initiative project. Primary work will be in support of the HVAC controls and building automation systems (BAS) teams primarily supporting the field engineering work; programming, integrations, development of sequence of operations, program modifications, etc
Location: Position will primarily support the Pentagon. (Military experience not required) Schedule: Primarily supports night shift.
Flexible start time between 6:00pm-8:00pm (employee’s choice). Shift will be four, 10 hour shifts somewhere between the hours of 6:00pm – 6:00am (depending on start time). Weekend work will be needed at times, especially during initial implementation phases.

What you will do Responsible for design support, sequence of operations development, configuration, programming and operation of HVAC building automation and control systems. Accountable to support technicians with quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs.
Develops software programs, commissions and troubleshoots to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, field installation team and subcontractors.

Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Performs value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Creates sequence of operations, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
