Job Summary:
This is a great position for a full-time or an independent contractor position who wants to work. We are looking for experienced low voltage estimators in any one of these fields, low-voltage, security systems, A/V, access controls, telecom, or HVAC controls. We are bidding on projects of different sizes in California. For bigger projects, we may be invited to bid on various scopes. This estimator plays an important role in delivering accurate take-off and final estimates by working with our other estimators and business development teams. Once we win the project, the estimator would go to job sites occasionally to check on projects.

Responsibilities

• Build solid estimates for both labor and material; Devise value engineering and source material from most competitive distributors to win the bids
• Assist management in reviewing, selecting, and prioritizing projects to bid on
• Do job walks if required, read floor plans and specs
• Assist with mobilizing field resources and material to kick off the project once we win the project
• Connect with supervisor in the field to ensure project is run efficiently and cost effective
• Interface with customers and update Kambrian office team (operations, accounting, and Project Manager) regarding project schedules and resolve issues
• Review material spend and labor hours to stay within budget
• Obtain permit as required and understand codes

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in low-voltage trade
• BICSI or RCDD certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience estimating low-voltage projects
• Familiarity with Accubid preferred
• Computerized estimation experience a plus
• Technical knowledge needed for the trades bid on
• Ability and flexibility to prioritize projects based on business needs
• Ability to work with internal teams

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $48.00 per hour
