Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality consists of 40+ full-time faculty members with diverse research and teaching interests and is home to both the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship Center and Cox Family Enterprise Center. The Leven School currently offers undergraduate BBA degrees in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality Management. The Coles College of Business also offers graduate degrees at the masters and doctoral levels, including a nationally recognized online MBA. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship faculty position in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality beginning August 2022.
Responsibilities
Candidates will be expected to engage in quality scholarly activity consistent with AACSB accreditation and potentially assist with doctoral level students. The teaching requirements of this position are 9 credit hours a semester and can include undergraduate and graduate courses across entrepreneurship, strategic management, and general management; future course load reductions are available to faculty with significant research accomplishment. Candidates will be expected to provide service to the university and the wider community.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have earned a Ph.D./DBA, or its foreign equivalent, in Management or a related area, preferably with an emphasis in entrepreneurship (ABD near completion will be considered but must be earned by August 1, 2022). In addition, candidates should have demonstrated research capabilities and strong teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in high-quality teaching and research in entrepreneurship. Previous entrepreneurial experience and competency in teaching experiential learning is a plus. Evidence of training and experience in hybrid and online teaching modalities is also desirable.
