Department Information
The Department of Psychological Science is a dynamic and rapidly growing department housed in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS). With 45 full-time and several part-time faculty, the department is committed to providing a rigorous education that prepares almost 2,500+ majors (Bachelor of Science) and 600+ minors for careers and graduate training, and is considering developing a graduate program in the future. The Department strives to be inclusive, collaborative, and family-friendly.
With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8000 degree seeking students, the RCHSS, the largest college at the University, prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, RCHSS offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. RCHSS provides students with experiential learning opportunities to enable them to develop leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as a strong sense of social responsibility through community and global engagement.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Psychology faculty position in the Department of Psychological Science to begin August 2023.
The area of specialization is Diversity, and high priority will be given to those who can teach courses related to their specialization (e.g., Ethnic Minority Psychology, Psychology of Gender) and research methods and/or statistics.
Strong scholarship, along with a commitment to excellence in teaching and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU.
Responsibilities
The Department of Psychological Science at Kennesaw State University is seeking applicants with a demonstrated record of impactful, applied research in the area of diversity, broadly defined, teaching excellence, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Faculty are expected to teach undergraduate courses in their area of specialization, as well as courses that are part of the required core in the psychology major. Workload is negotiable based on research agenda and commitment to extramural funding. Faculty in the department have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, mentorship, and creating inclusive learning environments for students with diverse backgrounds. Service to the department, college, university, and/or profession is expected.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Faculty in the Department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
