Who You Are
As the Director of Member Relations for Membership and Business Services, you are responsible for building and nurturing relationships with potential members, existing members, and key partners in order to grow and strengthen the organization. You will be responsible for renewing the Chamber’s key investor membership base and closing accounts referred by Chamber leadership. You will represent the Chamber at professional business meetings and events and must be comfortable serving behind the scenes in support roles, as well as speaking in front of crowds. You will work closely with leadership to manage special programming, including international travel. This position will report to the Director, Membership Operations.

This position has no day-to-day supervisory responsibilities but works closely with the entire Membership and Business Services department.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
Education And/Or Experience
Applicant must be a college graduate or possess equivalent experience and have at least 3 years of experience in communication, account management, and sales.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and a proficient understanding of profit and loss statements.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
Other Skills And Abilities
Employee must have strong computer and typing skills, including the use of and functional knowledge of several different software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. and be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods. On occasion, must be able to workdays of up to 16 hours.
