General Purpose of the Job
As an integral part of the Employee Services team, the Human Resources (HR) Recruiter will act as a liaison between the organization and applicants for jobs, especially roles that are hard to fill and require special qualifications. The HR Recruiter will manage the organization’s full cycle recruitment from support hiring managers in the posting and advertising of positions to the screening of candidates after applications are received. Further the HR Recruiter will coordinate all temporary staff activity, including but not limited to, establishing the effective start and stop dates of assignments in coordination with department leadership. The HR Recruiter will also be responsible for all candidates meeting the organization’s pre-employment requirements and will work with the organization’s HR Administrator to schedule timely onboardings of selected applicants.

Position requires knowledge of MS Office Suite products. Position requires ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, including external contacts as well as cross-departmental teams; ability to work in a team and as an individual to gain consensus; ability to multitask; ability to deal effectively with conflict; ability to work well under high pressure situations; ability to plan and present ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities of staff. Position requires strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, and attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy. Must have ability to work under minimal supervision.
Knowledge of specialized software or specialized technical skill such as: HRIS, Recruitment Software, Social Media Platforms, and Job boards.
Position may require use of personal vehicle or state motor pool to travel throughout the state during business.
