Job Description

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Model safe behavior at all times, and actively participates in Hazard Identification and in safety improvement activities.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission systems troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
• Read and properly interpret industrial mechanical prints, drawings, and instruction manuals
• Apply working knowledge and skills relative to part fabrication and machining. Competency with all shop equipment required.
• Apply industrial standards in Lubrication, Refurbishment, Welding, Pipefitting, HVAC/Refrigeration, and Rigging.
• Precision focused maintenance practices, including Preventative Maintenance, technical inspections, correcting equipment defects, and utilizing proactive technologies including Infra-red, vibration analysis, ultrasonic monitoring, oil sampling
• Utilization of SAP, keep detailed accurate records, and leveraging info systems in support of the maintenance functions
• Support the planning and execution of daily/weekly/and shutdown activities.
• Participate in cost effective decision making (for example/ labor, parts, and materials).
• Demonstrates collaboration by continually demonstrating adult behavior and actively participating in team activities to provide the highest level of service and equipment to the Paris plant.
• Actively build capabilities of the equipment operators and apply working knowledge in converting processes in the support of continual improvement in reliability.
• Problem solving to root cause using Lean problem-solving processes.
• Demonstrates flexibility to work overtime, shift assignment, and travel as needed.
• The ability and initiative to work with minimal supervision.
• Daily application of all One KC Behaviors.

Position Eligibility Requirements (as of expiration date of posting)

• 4 or more years of Industrial Maintenance experience with diverse converting equipment in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Current Mechanic I candidates must have 2 or more years of experience.
• Associate degree or better in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Electricity preferred. Relevant work experience, or military MOS will be considered.

Testing Requirements

Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be scheduled for the Scientific Management Test.
