The Senior Design Manager-Front End Innovation is Accountable for INFLUENCING & INSPIRING the org to elevate innovation through human centered design and user-led lens. They are the thought leader responsible for leading, building, iterative testing, and driving strategic brand initiatives, filling, and defining the future innovation pipelines, and thinking across a range of brand programs across a portfolio/business.
The ideal candidate is both a creative and strategic thinker who has deep empathy for people and culture and a passion for creating purposeful brands and meaningful experiences. Applies strategic, analytical, and design thinking to solve challenging issues across a range of topics The position requires someone who has a depth of experience leading and developing strategic initiatives across innovation, as well as traditional brand strategy programs with CPG background.
In this role, you will:
-Leading design strategy and best-in-class design work across all brand touch-points, with a particular focus on front-end innovation. Build, visualize, and prototype future compelling consumer innovation pipelines & strategies across a portfolio
-Drive breakthrough creativity and competitive differentiation for our brands by delivering design work that DRIVES DISTINCTIVE BRAND EXPERIENCES, resulting in share growth and equity
-Responsible for integrating innovation across functions and brand portfolio to ensure K-C stays cutting edge in our design approach and inventions
-Ability to seek out new and emerging trends within design and codify into capabilities for the organization
-Ability to find and manage the best the best external partners (i.e., freelancers/agencies) to deliver design & business objectives
-Practices Human-Centered Design Foundations; facilitates design thinking to solve business problems
-Design Leader as a Strategic Business Partner
-Regularly interacts and partners with the RSL & S&I teams. Partners with the team to create the future innovation pipelines
-Has strong connections with the Insights & analytics team to ensure consumer is the heart
-Partners with the cross functional leadership teams
-Presents to Senior leadership a strong and influential POV
-The successful candidate will join the Advanced Marketing Capabilities team and report to the Regional Sector Lead – Adult & Feminine Care.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
-8+ Years Design Industry Experience, preferably in CPG
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional relevant experience
-Design portfolio that showcases exceptional end-to-end consumer experiences, deep focus on innovation
-Storyteller with outstanding communication skills, especially the ability to influence key stakeholders by bringing data and consumer insights to life to drive better Design decisions and generate breakthrough experiences
-Proven ability to drive multiple, complex, and highly strategic programs simultaneously & meet rigorous deadlines
-Business acumen and experience with shoppers, retailers, and customer realities to ensure the brand experiences being developed have commercial viability
-Conceptual thinker with a strong business sense and passion for innovation. Experience building consumer driven front-end innovation
-Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to use insights and data points to develop compelling product journeys
-Understands design and consumer research methodologies, iterative design and is skilled in influencing consumer research initiatives within K-C’s strategic community
-In depth knowledge and practice of divergent ideation and convergent filtering to support projects.
-Skilled in development brand design portfolio architecture.
-Skilled in visualizing strategy and narrative sketching.
-Leading Edge capability in problem framing and scouting trends
-Identifies observations, trends, cycles, future visions, and vignettes as distinct influences in future thinking that connect or push Strategic business plans
