OFFICE ON AGING JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Digital Literacy Coordinator SUPERVISOR: Associate Director for Program Management and Special Projects SALARY & WAGE SCALE: Skill Level 8 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:General Description: An employee in this position is under general supervision of the
Associate Director. Responsibilities include organizing tech training for senior adults, including coordinating with CAC staff, Tech Goes Home staff, and partner agencies, as well as recruiting and preparing volunteer trainers. Present information to broad audiences to market program and on outcomes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Launching Tech Smart Knox Seniors policies, procedures, and program implementation at specified partner locations across the designated region;
• Serving as the primary contact for partner organizations’ staff and trainers before, during, and after classes
• Assisting in recruiting and training volunteer trainers
• Communicating with and managing trainers during program sessions
• Developing and Managing Tech Smart Knox Seniors Participant Enrollment and Waitlist

• Working with CAC and Tech Goes Home staff, trainers, and partner organizations to coordinate, store, and deliver devices
• Troubleshooting internet and technology issues for class host sites
• Assisting with data collection, evaluation and record maintenance in platforms including Google Sheets, Survey Monkey, and Mail Chimp
• Meeting regularly with partner organizations to facilitate program delivery and to evaluate programming
• Providing one-on-one internet consultation to program participants to educate them on their affordable home internet options and help them get connected.
• Contributing content and stories for Office on Aging social media accounts
• Presenting to organizations and agencies across designated region to effectively market and communicate programmatic goals
• Providing regular s to CAC Office on Aging and Tech Goes Home staff

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Proficiency in basic computer functions – Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other Google Suite apps

• Proficiency in programs similar to: Survey Monkey, Canva, and Mailchimp
• Proficiency in basic internet and computer troubleshooting
• Experience with teaching adult learners
• Ability to work with a team of volunteer trainers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be mature and able to demonstrate good judgment.
• Must be able to relate to and communicate with older clients as well as volunteers and staff of service-providing programs.
• Must be attentive to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form.
• Ability to obtain facts by personal contact, observation, and the examination of records.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to use computer to access data bases and record activities.
• Good physical condition and the ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 15 pounds.
• Ability to produce accurate s and correspondence.
• Must be flexible and willing to work varied schedule if necessary.
• Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s license and a reliable automobile available for occasional use. (Mileage reimbursed)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS Degree or relevant equivalent education and experience
• Two or more years of related work experience
• Experience in working with older people and volunteers is desirable
• Knowledge of Knox County and its geographic environs is desirable
• Knowledge of community resources is desirable
• Criminal background screening required

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position funded for 12 months, with potential for an additional 6 months. Start date is negotiable, but ideally by September 1,
