KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager – Fitness to develop and drive sales of our innovative outdoor commercial fitness solutions in Texas while also supporting the neighboring Midwest Region.

The Key Account Manager – Fitness will play a critical role in developing and expanding KOMPAN’s market position for outdoor fitness solutions while contributing to KOMPAN’s overall strategy, business development, and culture.

For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities.

In collaboration with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 sites a month across 90 different countries. Our North American headquarters, located in Austin, Texas, supports field sales around the U.S. and Canada.

What You’ll Do

• Create and execute a cohesive sales plan to penetrate the regional markets
• Network and build trusting relationships between major customers and KOMPAN
• Develop valuable customer partnerships and drive business development in a rapidly growing marketplace
• Analyze industry trends to prepare for client requests
• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, goals, and challenges
• Strategic planning to increase industry network impact
• Drive sales of KOMPAN’s Outdoor Fitness solutions to major end customers (including Municipal Parks and Recreation, Education – public, private, and higher education, Sports and Social Clubs, Corporate Wellness, Hospitality, Specifiers – architects, landscape architects and engineers, Builders, Developers, Senior Living, Military/Government, etc.)
• Partner and collaborate with internal teams (including regional sales representatives, marketing, product development, the KOMPAN Fitness Institute, and sales leadership)
• Present Continuing Education Units (CEU) courses and related research and product content for customers and stakeholders
• Periodically deliver presentations at industry-specific events

What You’ll Need

• College degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, health and wellness, sports management, business / marketing, or a related degree is preferred
• 3+ years of sales experience in an activity-based, customer-facing, CRM-driven environment
• Strong track record of managing and growing key accounts, preferably in the fitness industry
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems
• Preferred experience with project-based or education solution selling
• Preferred experience developing a rapidly growing category, selling to both public and private sectors

This position is based from your home office in Texas, with day and overnight travel (up to 50%) to Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
