Responsible to the team for the contract procurement, contract administration, job budgeting, and project quality control processes. Reports to Senior Engineer at Koss Construction’s Corporate Office in Topeka, Kansas.
Contract Procurement
- Analyzing completed construction and product costs as required to accurately estimate costs in preparing proposals
- Securing approval of estimates and proposals prior to submittal
- Preparation of proposals
Contract Administration
- Change order and other agreement negotiation and execution processes
- Securing approved plans, permits, and policies that allow for contract compliance associated with:
- Training commitments
- Disadvantaged Business Enterprise commitments
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
- Traffic Control Plans
- Providing technical and administrative support in resolution to contract related disputes
Job Costing
- Project and product budgeting
- Subcontract payment reports including retainage, audit bills, and bond charges
- Revenue Reconciliation reports
- Job Billings
Quality Control
- Approved plans, certifications, permits, and policies that allow for contract compliance associated with:
- Project Quality Control Plans
- Equipment calibrations, certifications, and verification
- Personnel training, certification, and verification
- Process Control Plans
- Analysis of contract incentives and disincentives applicable to company products, pursuit of maximizing these incentives within the project budgets
Other
- Assist in project management efforts
- Serve on various industry committees
