Position Summary:
Develop and deliver strategic, novel and custom workforce insights and forward-looking projections generated from sound data analytics/methodology (data science), which facilitate informed decisions aligned to company strategy. Create innovative methods to discover new insights from human resources (HR) data/84.51 customer data to support the company’s effort to retain and develop talent. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Functions:
Develop strategic and innovative analytics/insights that illustrate, measure and explore current/future business practices
Provide innovative recommendations to senior leadership to maintain competitive advantage based on industry insights
Create and leverage algorithms to drive recommendations to senior leaders for key initiatives
Lead predictive analytics and partner with 84.51 to drive insights for retention
Assist in development of software application Talent Analytic Solutions; collaborate on programming developments and machine learning
Lead insights through data visualization and communication through technical/non-technical versions
Build a partnership with company leaders to generate business solutions
Lead collection/delivery of insights in response to requests from leaders; produce innovative recommendations that align to strategic business priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to ensure data insights are aligned to other analytics
Lead efforts to collect, maintain, enhance and calculate workforce key performance indicators for State of the Associate
Optimize processes to deliver regularly scheduled reports that adapt to ongoing organizational changes
Serve as liaison across the organization on HR metrics, analytics and reporting; provide thought leadership on actionable results from workforce insights
Assist with execution of annual Associate Survey process including design, administration and reporting
Lead industry research (benchmarking/competitive analysis)
Partner with 84.51 to merge associate/customer data to produce cross-functional insights to avoid negative business impacts/enhance positive impacts
Travel to present/implement plans against workforce insights

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Advanced analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
5+ years data analysis experience; focus on statistical methodology
Proficient understanding of statistics and using algorithms for predictive performance
Experience using statistical data programming language (R, Python), database querying language (SQL, Alteryx) and Tableau for data visualization/communication
Knowledge of data wrangling and making recommendations on solutions
Ability to synthesize complex data/analytics into visually appealing, easy to understand recommendations
Knowledge of Kroger information systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-stress; preserve confidentiality of sensitive information
Advanced in Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Strong presentation skills; ability to effectively persuade/influence others

Working knowledge of HR data systems
Ability to create and test hypotheses
