Natural Resources Sustainable Transportation Specialist
Immediate opening for 3 Natural Resources Sustainable Transportation Specialist in NE San Antonio. These individuals will assist the Clean Cities Coordinator in the daily operation of the Clean Cities program. Position is Monday – Friday with a pay rate of $17.69 hourly.
Primary Duties:
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and fellow Coordinators; track local, state, and Federal incentives for purchasing alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure; plan events designed to educate stakeholders and/or the general public about different alternative fuel technologies; create presentations for stakeholder meetings; and maintain a working knowledge of sustainable transportation measures and technologies; performing other job related duties as assigned. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Clean Cities program, facilitating the adoption of alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technology, and associated infrastructure across the Alamo Region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Geography, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability to perform duties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs
- Well-versed in, or express a desire to learn about, alternative fuels, environmental and economic sustainability, and event planning in support of these initiatives
