Conducts pre-screening activities including reviewing applications, telephone screening and in-person screening. Confers with hiring managers regarding candidates. Conducts New Hire Orientations that foster a positive first impression of the company. Also, works with rest of human resources team to coordinate or manage activities which may include employee parties and other events.
Provides benefits enrollment communication and assistance as appropriate. Assists employees with insurance plan questions and troubleshooting. Assists with employee relations issues with either employees or managers through effective communication and adherence to company policies and procedures. May consult with managers in the absence of the Human Resources Director Assists with the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures, projects and reports as needed.
Works closely with director and other HR staff members on projects. Manages leaves of absence, workers compensation and other employment related needs. QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of three to five years human resources experience preferably in a customer service environment. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
Excellent customer service skills. Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the Residents, other employees, and the public. Computer proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
