Software Developer Front/Backend

Type: Full Time (Hybrid potential)

Job Summary

Lafayette Venetian blind seeks a talented and self-motivated mid-level application developer to join our team in developing the next generation of web-based applications. The web application developer will spend most of the time developing web applications utilizing MySQL database tables generated from our COBOL system. You will work closely with UX designers and other programmers to conceptualize usable web experiences. As we are a small but determined team, this role will be a hybrid role where you will be asked to balance working at the server level, database level, code level and touching front-end code at times

Required Experience

· A programming-based degree or advanced certification and 2+ years as a web application developer with backend soft development experience

· Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience

· Experience / Knowledge of Database programming, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to develop and maintain company web applications

· Troubleshooting and resolving software bugs and deployment issues

· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Develop PHP/Python

· Additional knowledge of RM COBOL, UNIX/Linux, and jQuery would be a plus
