The Meridian is a Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) and offers treatment to Medicaid and/or Medicaid eligible children with a serious emotional disturbance that requires treatment in a residential treatment center. The Meridian provides mental health treatment for male and female children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 17, and utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment approach with a focus on psychotherapeutic intervention in a structured, community living environment with 24-hour supervision. The program also provides substance abuse intervention services for children and adolescents who are at risk for substance abuse, and provides substance abuse treatment services for children and adolescents who have been identified as needing moderate substance abuse and related-problem treatment.
Overview
The primary duty of the Clinical Director of Children Residential Services is to perform work requiring advanced knowledge in the field of Human Services. This position will be responsible for ensuring patient quality of care by developing, implementing and directing behavioral health treatment programs, to include: directing and overseeing program operations, budget management, oversight of staff members, providing clinical consultation, oversight of case planning and care coordination, ensuring that services are patient focused, reviewing caseloads to ensure appropriate utilization of services, providing onsite coverage for other programs as needed, developing and implementing operating policies/procedures , ensuring procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocols, regulations and standards of care.
The following supervisor duties of this position include: Providing administrative and clinical oversight and supervision to assigned staff per division standards; and ensuring staff are providing the highest quality treatment and support services to clients. Providing consultation and guidance to assigned staff to encourage continual improvement in performance. Documenting assigned staff’s clinical performance. Monitoring and maintaining program Performance Accountability Report(s) to meet organization and division expectations.
Therapeutic services include but are not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services and management of client risk and safety.
