Position Summary
The Manager, Human Resources reports to the Director, Human Resources with dotted line reporting to the President and Vice President, Operations. The Manager is responsible for the daily management of HR activities including: attendance monitoring, recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, leave management, strategic manpower planning, rewards and recognition programs, developing and managing the administration of company programs, policies and procedures. The Manager will work closely with the Plant Management team and support company leaders in the development of employees, processes and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
· Manage HR related activities, including manpower planning, compensation, benefits, recruiting, managing records, and employee relations
· Review and recommend policy/procedure updates in compliance with federal & state employment regulations
· Manage and administer onboarding and off boarding process
· Administer various employee benefits programs including FMLA/NJPFL, medical, vision, dental, life and supplemental insurances
· Take a significant role in development of Employees to support engagement, growth, and goal achievement
· Support employee benefit planning and annual open enrollment
· Manage work related injury documentation, track injuries and oversight of OSHA logs and postings
· Manage staffing agency relationships and monitor performance
· Assists Payroll as needed and may be trained as a back up to the Payroll Coordinator
· Conduct staff trainings as required
· Identify and clarify employee issues and implementing solutions, including coaching and counseling
· Maintain confidentiality for HR related issues
· Able to assist in light production during peak periods

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business required
· Minimum five (5) years experience as an HR Manager
· Minimum five (5) years experience as an HR Generalist
· Minimum two (2) years experience in manufacturing
· One or more specialty certifications in Human Resources
· Must have exceptional organizational skills
· Bilingual Spanish speaking
· Highly proficient with MS Office suite
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
· Exposure to a manufacturing environment
· Ability to handle personnel and delivery feedback effectively
· Must have a valid drivers license
· Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
· PHR Certification
· Haitian Creole speaker a plus
