Lantek Fiber Optic Service, Inc.is a growing leader in the fiber optic, telecommunication industry. The services we provide range from Aerial/Underground construction to fiber optic splicing.
We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full time employment as a Telcom Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all fiber optic construction and splicing
- Perform some field work / pole data collection, fiber optic aerial cable placement, fiber optic splicing, troubleshooting and repair
- Review construction drawings and splicing prints
- Oversee quality control of all phases of construction
- Manage a yearly fiber build of approximately 900 – 1000 miles
- Supervise team of 15-20 employees and contractors
- Schedule, supervise, and assist with network troubleshooting and repair
- Staff according to needs of the business
- Process and review billing
- Effectively / efficiently lead and manage a workforce
- Enforce safe work habits and adhere to the company safety program
- Relay information to the Director of Construction weekly
Qualifications:
· Experienced and versed in telecommunications, outside plant, and fiber optics
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR.
· Clean driving record
· Must be located in or relocating to the Berlin CT area or bordering Towns
· Experience in efficiently / effectively managing and leading a workforce of technicians
· Excellent communications skills
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
· MS Excell , Word, Exchange, Google Earth
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
